Fri 25th - Mon 28th September 2020

To mark 40 years since our company was founded, we would like to show you some of the exquisite corners of South Devon, including the home of the famous writer of detective books: Agatha Christie. The luxurious Queens Hotel in Paignton, our base for 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast, has an ideal level situation. A two minute gentle stroll will take you to the town centre shops or the seafront where you can take in the splendid views of the bay. The hotel is renowned for its excellent cuisine, friendly atmosphere, homely ambience and professional staff, ensuring it’s one of the best holiday hotels in Torbay. All rooms are en-suite with TV and tea facilities. There is a lift, indoor swimming pool and evening entertainment.

Provisional Itinerary:

Day 1: Mid-morning departure from the Midlands, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon, allowing plenty of time to stroll along the sea front or browse the town.

Day 2: Excursion via Totnes to the secluded estuary harbour of Dartmouth. From there we take the passenger ferry to Agatha Christie's retreat of Greenway, seeing the beautiful sights of the River Dart along the way.

Day 3: A leisurely excursion via Torbay, Babbacombe, Labarador Bay and Shaldon to the pleasant seaside town of Teignmouth. A mecca for rail enthusiasts as the main line from Exeter to Penzance travels along the dramatic coast before turning inland at Teignmouth. On a clear day Lyme Bay can be viewed from the top of Labrador Bay.

Day 4: Return to the Midlands.
