Sidmouth is a charming seaside resort in the centre of the vast sweep of Lyme Bay and nestles beneath warm red sandstone cliffs.

The luxurious Kingswood & Devoran Hotel situated in the middle of the Esplanade, retains the spacious charm of the Edwardian Era whilst being fully modernised.

All bedrooms have private bathroom, TV, radio, telephone and tea facilities.

There is a lift to main floors and excellent cuisine is served in the very attractive dining room.

Accommodation is half board.

Provisional Itinerary

Day 1: Mid-morning departure from the Midlands, arriving at the Kingswood & Devoran Hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 2: Mid-morning departure, journey through the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty towards the Otter Valley. We stop for an hour or so at the charming town of Ottery St Mary. We then continue over Woodbury Common towards Exmouth. On a clear day you can see right across the common towards Exeter with Dartmoor behind it as well as towards the English Channel. After a couple of hours at Exmouth we return to the hotel in time for afternoon tea.

Day 3: Full day excursion. First we visit the town of Seaton. We then journey along the estuary of the River Axe and through the ancient port of Lyme Regis, past the Golden Cape and through the picture postcard villages of Burton Bradstock and Abbotsbury. We get stunning views of the Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland. We then continue around the northern side of Weymouth towards the historic county town of Dorchester where we will spend the afternoon before returning to the hotel.

Day 4: At leisure in Sidmouth.

Day 5: Return to the Midlands.
