Hythe, our base, is an exquisite resort with a superb setting on the Channel coast.  The town has a quiet charm with mellow old houses and streets cut through by the Royal Military Canal.  Being an ancient Cinque Port the whole area is steeped in history, with nearby Canterbury the birthplace of English Christianity.  Half board accommodation is provided at the excellent Stade Court Hotel which has a prime seafront position.  All bedrooms are en-suite, with TV and tea facilities. Please note that due to the historic nature of the building some bedrooms are on a split level. The hotel has a lift. The da of leisure if a perfect opportunity to ride on the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.

Provisional Itinerary:

Day 1: Mid-morning pick-ups in the West Midlands, we stop for lunchtime in Buckinghamshire before continuing to Kent, arriving in Hythe mid-afternoon.

Day 2: A leisurely excursion to Canterbury.

Day 3: Full day excursion around the Kent coast. First we visit the battle of Britain Memorial Centre. We then continue past Dover Castle and above the famous White Cliffs, through the town of Deal to Sandwich. After time for lunch an a look round, we then continue to the Victorian town of Broadstairs.

Day 4: At leisure in Hythe.

Day 5: Return to the Midlands.
