 Eastbourne has a reputation for being the ‘Sun Trap of the South’. There are excellent shops, gracious buildings, beautiful parks, tree lined avenues and splendid promenade walks.  It is only a short drive to the rolling South Downs, the soaring cliffs of Beachy Head and a wealth of lovely villages. Half board accommodation is provided at the family owned Haddon Hall Hotel. The hotel offers well-appointed rooms and is situated on the Seafront end of Devonshire Place, adjacent to the Bandstand, only a 5 minute level walk to the pier. All bedrooms are en-suite with flat-screen TV and tea making facilities.  The elegant restaurant offers traditional English food. There is a lift and regular entertainment.

Provisional Itinerary:

Day 1: Mid-morning departure from the midlands, arriving at our hotel mid-afternoon.

Day 2: At leisure in Eastbourne.

Day 3: Leisurely excursion across Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters. Following the coast we pas through the towns of Newhaven, Peacehaven and Brighton before heading to the medieval town of Lewes.

Day 4: Leisurely excursion to the fashionable spa town of Tunbridge Wells.

Day 5: Full day excursion. We travel via Pevensey to the town where the infamous battle took place in 1066, hence the name: Battle. We then continue to the ancient Cinque Port of Rye. We then stop at Hastings for a couple of hours before returning to the hotel.

Day 6: At leisure in Eastbourne.

Day 7: Return to the Midlands.
