The northern fells of Cumbria provide dramatic scenery, history and culture.  Bonnie Prince Charlie, William Wordsworth & Rudolph Hess are all part of the fascinating past of this area. We stay for 4 nights half board accommodation at the Shap Wells Hotel which has a peaceful, secluded setting near Penrith on the edge of the Lake District. A pretty waterfall and trickling stream running by the front door and the view from the lounges will leave you with no doubts that this is a place to get away from it all. All bedrooms are en-suite with TV, hairdryer, telephone and tea facilities. The hotel has a lift to some floors.
