Tavistock offers an ideal base for exploring the beautiful scenery of Dartmoor and the surrounding Devon countryside. This charming market town sits on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, with its historic buildings, traditional pannier market and independent shops providing plenty to discover. Explore the dramatic
moorland landscapes, rugged tors and picturesque villages of this beautiful part of Devon, with scenic drives offering wonderful views along the way. Our base, the Bedford Hotel, is situated in the heart of Tavistock and provides a comfortable and welcoming base for our stay, with half board accommodation. A lift serves the ground floor public areas from the car park, however, most bedrooms are accessed by stairs. Some ground floor bedrooms are available on request.
