THE SUTHERLAND COAST & ORKNEY

The farthermost reaches of the Scottish Highlands offer some of the most wild and untamed landscapes on the island of Britain. Consequently, the few remote
communities it contains are mainly scattered along the coast of Sutherland and Caithness, sandwiched between the imposing Munros and the fierce Atlantic
rollers. Orkney has a unique charm, with its gentle green landscape spread across its many islands. Landmarks from five millennia of history add to its uniqueness. A traditional Scottish welcome is provided at the Station Hotel in Thurso, Britain’s most northerly town. Four nights half board will be provided whilst we explore this remote and fascinating area. Please note that there is no lift at the Station Hotel, but ground floor rooms are available on request. Overnight half board accommodation is also provided at the Fisher’s Hotel in Pitlochry on the outward journey and the Castlecary Hotel in Cumbernauld on the return journey.
