The spit on the southeast entrance of Poole Harbour is the most expensive and aspired to postcode outside of London, and with good reason. It is surrounded with charming views, Poole Harbour, the Studland Peninsula, Old Harry Rocks , the open sea of the English Channel, and Brownsea Island. The latter is the cradle of the Scout Movement. As well as its splendour, Sandbanks provides a convenient base from which to explore the magnificent county of Dorset and the New Forest National Park. The passage of ships and boats, to and from Poole Harbour, is also enchanting. We are based at the 4* Sandbanks Hotel which overlooks water on two sides. Its beach-side terrace makes for a relaxing summer evening. All rooms are en-suite with TV and courtesy tray. Please note that due to the traditional style of the hotel, there are no rooms with walk-in showers. There is a lift. Half board throughout.
Excursions: Wimborne Minster & Shaftesbury; Lymington & Hythe via New Forest.
