The North East features some of the finest scenery in England that is completely unspoiled by humankind. The architecture on this tour only complements the area. From the splendour of Alnwick Castle and the grandeur of Durham Cathedral to the charm of Hexham. All of the excursions visit destinations with an ancient history. A unique and memorable experience is to be enjoyed on this holiday. Half-board accommodation is provided at the 14th Century Lumley Castle Hotel near Chester-le-Street. All uniquely and tastefully decorated rooms are within the former stable block, adjacent to the castle, in which we will have our meals and use of the bar and lounge. All rooms are en-suite and feature a TV, tea/coffee making facilities, hair dryer and WiFi.
